HANDIBUS OPERATION

The Board of Directors is committed to providing a sustainable service that meets the needs of the community.

Our vehicles are adapted to the needs of people requiring assistance. We transport on a shared-ride basis to medical appointments, schools, work in Calgary and in the rural communities.

Operating costs for transportation are covered by user fees, municipal grants, fee for service contracts and donations. Capital funding for new buses is raised through grant applications and donations. Each handibus is an investment of more than $75,000.

Our primary area of operation:
• Crossfield
• Rocky View (Northeast region)
• Balzac / Sharp Hill / Butte Hill

• Chestermere

• Conrich

• South East Rocky View

When scheduling permits, we provide transportation to:
• Beiseker
• Irricana

• Delacour
• Madden
• Langdon
• Cochrane (in conjunction with Big Hill Senior Citizens Activity Society)

HOURS OF OPERATIONS

Handibus operates five days a week (7 am to 4:30 pm), with the exception of holidays. Office hours are from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.

Occasional or casual bookings are available in the following time periods:

Travel Between Airdrie and Surrounding Region:
9:30 am to 2:00 pm

Travel From the Airdrie Region to Calgary:
departures from: 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Travel From Calgary to the Airdrie Region:
departures from: 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Repeat or permanent bookings maybe be available at other times.
